Date Again (Date Again) is a couples app with a daily spark, a weekly challenge, and a monthly treat. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the iOS app, the Android app, and dateagain.app.
Who this is for
Date Again is for people who want an easier way to stay close with someone they already chose. You can use it on your own. Pairing is optional.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the product:
- Account details from Apple or Google sign in, such as your name and email. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your personal email.
- Profile details you add, such as a preferred name and photo.
- Personalization you choose: how you love, how you live, your relationship, and what you like to spend on a night out. We use this so sparks, challenges, and treats feel like you.
- Optional location, if you allow it, so monthly treats can feel nearby. You can skip this.
- Pairing information if you connect with a partner: a pairing key or scanned code, and the shared activities you both see.
- App activity needed to deliver ideas: sparks, challenges, treats, completion, and a date you schedule for a treat.
- A push token if you allow notifications, so we can remind you.
- Subscription status through the App Store or Google Play, so we know whether your Standard plan is active.
How we use it
We use this information to create your account, generate ideas, keep paired partners looking at the same spark, challenge, and treat, send notifications you opt into, process your plan, and keep the service reliable and secure. We do not sell your personal information.
When you pair
Pairing is opt in. After you share a key or scan a code, you and your partner see the same ideas. What one of you marks done, the other can see. Unlink in the app if you no longer want to share.
Who we share with
We use trusted providers to host the product, sign you in, send notifications, and handle payments. Today that includes infrastructure for accounts and data, Apple and Google for sign in and store billing, and a subscription service that reads your plan status. We may disclose information if the law requires it. We do not share your love notes or ideas for advertising.
Retention
We keep account and activity data while you use Date Again. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove or de-identify personal data we control, unless we need to keep a limited record for security, billing, or the law.
Your choices
You can update personalization and location in the app, unlink a pair, turn off notifications on your device, or manage your plan in the App Store or Google Play. To request a copy of your data or deletion of your account, write to hello@dateagain.app.
Children
Date Again is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please keep your device and sign in methods safe.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
